LIFTING OF RESTRICTIONS.
FRUITERERS MAY NOW KEEP OPEN. DEYONPORT NOT INCLUDED. For some months past there have been closing hours for fruiterers in Auckland city, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, Newmarket. Onehuuga and One Tree Hill Road District, and the restrictions have not been kindly taken to. In the "Gazette" published to-day the restrictions fixing the closing hours have been cancelled. The position now ia that shopkeepers in the districts mentioned may keep open in the evening without any restriction. The present restrictions remain in force in Devonport, and in that borough the "Gazette"' notice prohibits the sale of fruit by other shopkeepers after the fruit shops have closed.
