9 ■ AUCKLAND V. WELLINGTON. RIVAL TEACHING INSTITUTES. This year's annual tournament between the Auckland and Wellington Training •Colleges will commence on Monday. The Wellington representatives. numbering about 30. will arrive on Sunday moruing. and. will be billeted with Auckland students. The programme is as follows: — Monday.—Athletics, at the Domain; Tennis, at the Blrkenhead-Northcote courts, both at 10.30 a.m. Tuesday.—9.3o, basketball, at the College; 3. swirnminz, Tepid Baths: 6.30. boxing. Drill Hall; S. debate, at the College. The subject for the debate is: '-'Are the Chinese justified in opposing, foreign intervention in their affairs?'' Wednesday.—9.3o. ladies' hockey: 10.30, men's hockey, at Reniuera: 3, football, at the Domain; S, tournament social, at the College. The Milne's Memorial Bowl and the Waehorne Vase are at present both held by WeUington. The bowl is won by the College scoring the highest aggregate of wins in the sporting events, while the Waehorne Vase is taten by the winner of the debate.
