COTTON INDUSTRY.
A GRAVE SHORTAGE
LONDON, August 5.
The Lancashire members of the House of Commons passed a resolution expressing the opinion that the cotton industry is in grave danger of a permanent shortage of raw material, and urging the Government to take more vigorous action in the direction of encouraging Empire cotton-growing.—(A. and N.Z.
