The eleventh anniversary of the outbreak of the Great War. was celebrated yesterday.
There were many pilgrimages to the Cenotaph in Whitehall and (to the unknown warrior's grave in Westminster Abbey.
Most pathetic scenes v occurred when poverty-stricken mothers placed posies of wild flowers at the base of the Cenotaph in memory of their dead boys.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
