FARMERS' INTERESTS.
AN AUSTRALIAN IDEAL,
SYDNEY, August 5,
In his presidential address at the annual conference of the Fanners Settlers' Association, Mr. Thorby laid stress on the principle of Australian parity. He said they had fought for years to Have tariff reform made a little more fair to the producer, but the time had come when they should adopt a new line of attack.
They should base all their transactions on Australian parity and ignore oversea prices, just as all other sections of the Australian neople were doing.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
