WAR GRAVES' UPKEEP.
A FUND OF £5,000.000.
LONDON. July 31
The Secretary of Stale for War I Sir L. Wortliington-Ev'ans. stated in the House of Commons that it was the intention of .the Government, iv conjunction with tlie Governments of tho Dominions, to establish an endowment fund erf £5.000,000 for the maintenance of war cemeteries.
Tlie Minister said he proposed to ask the House for a vote of £50.000 as the contribution of the United Kingdom for the current year and a further sum annually.
The payments would be made until the capital sum reached the British share of the total amount required for the permanent maintenance of war graves. (.Renter.)
