LABOUR AND WARFARE.
NO WELCOME TO FLEET. (By Tele&raph.—PreSs Association.) DUNEDIN, Friday. The Otago Labour Representation Committee unanimously resolved as follows: "Whereas ships of war and all forms of militarism are an instrument used by capitalists in the destruction of human life in warfare between nations, and on behalf of the profiteer class against the working class in times of industrial conflict, the Otago Labour Representation Committee resolves that, without distinguishing between the naval power of the United States and that of any other nation, and for reasons advanced in this motion, the council refrain from participating in the celebrations being arranged in connection with the pending visit of warships of the United States, and urges affiliated unions and the workers of Dunedin to refrain in a similar manner."
