ST. MARY'S HOMES.
FAIR OPENED TODAY. For the purposes of raising funds for that very deserving institution, St. Mary's Homes. Otahuhu, a fair was openod by the Mayor, Mr. <;. BaiMon. in the Town Hall Concert Chamber this afternoon. Stalls of every description arc to be found at the fair, and they are in charge of city and suburban parishes, the Query Club and the Takapuna Women's Progressive League. This afternoon the Girls' Diocesan Association gave an entertainment, and items were given by various artists. A complete change of programme will be presented this evening. Those responsible for tho fair hope to raise a substantial sum for the Homes, which need no recommenda- ■ tion to Aucklanders. who realise fully what "an asset they are to the community.
