A police order forbids foreign dancing in cafes, tearooms and elsewhere, except in licensed halls and private homes, where dancing is permissible until 10 at night only. The Imperial Hotel, where the majority of foreigners hold a weekly dance, vainly protested. The Embassies and Legations are not affected. Tlie order is due to pressure by reactionaries, who object to anything and everything they themselves do not do. — (A. and X.Z. Cable.) i
