SYDNEY, June _ Investigations by the Victorian detectives into a number of robberies occur - ing lately revealed the discovery on Monday last of an amazing underground dug-out stocked with large quantities of goods which had disappeared from many quarters. Six boys between the ages of 14 and 16 were arrested, also the mother of one of the boys, who had been charged with being in possession of stolen goods. The boys are to appear at the Children's Court. As a result of the arrests, it is believed that at least 15 recent robberies in Melbourne suburbs will be cleared up. The underground dug-out was discovered in the back yard of a house in St. Kilda. It was about four feet deep and several yards in extent. In it were a quantity of goods which have since been identified by the victims of various robberies. At times the crime reports had reached five a day, and the extensive operations led the police to believe that an organised gang was operating.
