LOOKING AHEAD.
Members of the Australian Loan Council, representing the treasuries of the various States and Commonwealth, are to assemble in Melbourne on June 11). On the following day a conference will be held for tho purpose of discussing the loan requirements of the States and the Commonwealth for tbe next 12 months, and also the rate of interest to be offered by the States for the loans which it may be decided to raise in Australia. It is probable also that the conference will devote attention to the lixation of the terms to be offered by the Commonwealth Government in connection with its pendin" big conversion issue.
