" V A NEW TRIUMPH. iSJ,u"' (Received 2.30 p.m.) LOXDOX, June 7. The first mobile low-power amateur wireless transmitting station capable o£ communicating over thousands of miles, was tested to-day, when a telegraphic communication with the United States was established. A wave length of 4o metres was used. Attempts were also made to communicate with New Zealand and Australia. The results are not yet known. The experiment was carried out in a field in a London suburb. — (A. and N.Z.)
