'j ißefore Mr. ,T. W. Poynton. S.M., and j j Mr. T. (itibb, J.P.) DISORDERLY CONDUCT. An unusually large number paraded this morning on charge- of disorderly conduct while drunk. In most cases the men arrested were shouting and making ' general nuisances of themselves in the | city's streets. The following were each lined 11. in default seven days' impris nment:— Archibald Hrvden. (leorge I'ovle. Patrick O'Callaghan. John Peris! Frederick Bradbiirn, Arnold Campbell Bennett. ' John Ttiohey. and Charles Mcl.oahan. The las;-named was also charged with throwing K . a „ s „,. t h e fool, nth. He stated that he usually "danced around! a bit" when drunk. Arnold i-l'il appeared on a , charge of being deemed an idle and disorderly person, with insullicient means . of support. He pleaded guilty. Although not bad enough for the Mental Hospital, bo was not quite normal, lie had been ordered > to come up fur sentence within twelve . months, provided he remained in the . Mr. Poynton, in sentencing Arnold to f three months, remarked Cut it was . cheaper to keep him in than out. DAMAGED MOTOR CAR. For his fourth offence for drunken- , ness within the statutory period of six , mouths.
