CLAIMS FOR SPAHLINGER.
AUSTRALIANS IN LONDON. LONDON, March 26With £4 between himself and starvation, and no prospect of getting back to Australia, Mr. J. H. J. MacDonnell, of Sydney, ha 3 arrived in London from Geneva, where he underwent the Spahlinger treatment for tuberculosis. He cheerfully said to "The Herald" special representative: — "I am nearly cured of life-long tuberculosis. Had funds permitted I would have been completely cured. The Australian Government should use myself and Messrs. Sutherland G. Atkins and H. W. Lowe, from Sydney, who' hav<>" been greatly benefited from Mr. Spahlinger's treatment, as testimony of its efficacy. It was a tragedy that I was unable to remain till June. Mr. Spahlinger was a gentleman. He did every thTn« possible. Australia House cannot grant mc a passage unless I repay the fare, but I cannot work." Mr. MacDonnell is secretary of the Australian Civilian T.B. Association Messrs. Lowe and Atkins, in whom the disease has been definitely arrested according to Dr. Stepney, a lur." specialist, will leave for Australia shortly.
