i LINESMAN'S ELECTROCUTION. ; A WARXIXG IGNORED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON X., this day. At the inquest held this morning concerning the death of Joseph Herman Heine, an employee of the ManawatuOroua Power Board, who was electrocuted on Saturday while engaged in work on the transmission line, evidence was given that deceased had no instructions to do work, and that lie failed to carry out the standing instructions on line work to lock the switch and to earth the line for safety before commencing operations. Deceased had run a like risk the week before, and had ] been told lie would lose his job next time }he failed to take precautions. A verdict of accidental electrocution. through deceased coming in contact with a current of 3300 volts, was returned. The coroner commented that the acci- | dent could not have happened if dcj ceased had taken the precautions deI manded by the Power Board.
