HOSPITAL REQUIRED.

REQUEST FROM KAITAIA.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)

KAITAIA, this day.

The question of making provision for hospital accommodation at K&itaia has been before the public for some time. A sum of £2000 was raised to help the iboard to build a cottage hospital at Kaitaia two years ago, but nothing has been done. A monster public meeting, Mr. T. H. Kenny presiding, urged that the present deplorable state of affaire be remedied, and unanimously carried the followig resolution: "That in the opinion of the meeting representing the town and the Mangonui County, the time has arrived when it is absolutely essential for the health of the people that a cottage hospital be built at Kaitaia for urgent sunrical, serious accident, and maternity cases, and that the Health. Department be urged to have a hospital built ■without delay."
