158,000 SCOTTISH PEOPLE fIIGN PETITION. LONDON, February 1". A petition requesting a reduction in the price of whisky by 2/0 a bottle retail has been signed liy 158,000 Scottish people. On March 13 a deputation will wait on the Chancellor of the Exchequer (Mr. Churchill) to present the petition. The organisers claim to represent one seventh of the population of Scotland.
