AUSTRALIAN ATHLETES.
TOUR OF DOMINION. MANY MEETINGS ARRANGED. (By Telegraph.-Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this dayThe New Zealand Amateur Athletic Council has drawn up a tentative programme for the tour of L. C. Parker and N. Grehan. Queensland sprinters, who are at present in Wellington. The proposal is for a tour to commence at Napier on the 14th instant. If the offer to Napier is accepted, the remaining members of the Australian team, who are expected to be leaving Sydney to-day for Auckland, xvill join up with Grehan and I'arker at Napier. On account nf the races at Gishorne the meeting in honour of the xisitors cannot he" arranged ar present for that town. It is proposed that the Australians will go from Napier to l'ahiatua, where a meeting is being held on 'he 18th instant. The visitors "ill compete at a meeting in Wellington on 21st instant. Haxvera has been offered a visit on the 2nth. and the team will afterward! appear at the N.-v Zealand championships at Wanganui on 27th and 38th. In the event of suitable arrangements being made, the Australian* xvill then visit the South island dn'e- tor meetings there having been suggested by the council as follow:—4th March. Timaru; 7th March. Christohurrh; 11th March, Invercargill; and Milt .Mure!., Dunedin. Further meetings are in doubt, the council not knowine as yet how long the xisitors are to remain' in the Dominion.
