ENGLISH PENNY POSTAGE.
ITS PROBABLE RETURN. LONDON, February 4. Sir \V. Mitchell Thompson ( PostmasterGeneral) stated yesterday that there was a. good deal to be said for the restoration of penny and halfpenny postage. He said that he was at present in close touch with the Chancellor of tin Exchequer (;t r r. Winston Churchill) tin this matter.—A. and N.Z.
