CREDITORS NOT SATISFIED. CROWX ASKED TO IXVESTIGATE. (By Tciegraph.—Dw n Correspondent.) HAMILTON - , this day. The ad.iourtiprl meeting of the creditors in the bankrupt estate of Ah Moon, fruiterer, of Hamilton, was held yesterday. The Deputy Official Assignee (Mr. V. H. Sanson) presided, and the hanknipt was examined in Chinese with the aid of an interpreter. The inquiry disclosed that no hooks had been kept, and generally a very unsatisfactory state of affairs. A resolution was pa-.ss.ed on the motion of Mr. Ah dice, of Auckland, and seconded by Mr. R. Hay, that the facts of the bankruptcy be placed before the Crown Prosecutor with a view to prosecution. Bankrupt was questioned as to how much he had spent at. gambling, and he replied very Utile. He bad spent a pound or two occasionally at races. He. was pressed by a creditor and the Assignee, to disclose how much he had squandered at fan tan and other ga.mbling games. He finally said he had spent about ffi in the last few months. Bankrupt, questioned, .-aid that in January. 19:24, he considered he owned £200, while his assets about that time were worth £300. He had kept no books and did not know bow to do so. All examination of the accounts showed that, apart from the debts that had been proved, there was £320 owing to \V. ]~. Lowe, of Karangahapc Road, Auckland, and that bankrupt had written asking him not to put in his proof of debt, and that he -would be paid come time.
