ELECTRICITY CONTROVERSY. (Received 2 p.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The J.ord Mayor, in a statement regarding the proposed new power house sai dhe had formally asked the State Government, through tJin Minister ol Works, to co-operate with the City Council in regard lo the supply of elec tricity for the metropolitan area. In the event of a refusal the council would proceed with the erection of the power house in a manner which would prevent the Government having the opportunity to refuse sanctioning a loan for the purpose. — (A. and N.Z.
