Fortunately for the bowlers, the heavy downpour of rain did not last beyond eight o'clock this morning, and although I lie preens were sodden the sun and warmth rapidly improved playing conditions for the competitors in the Christmas Bowling Tournament which was continued to-day. Section play was concluded on the following greens, Section A on West End, Section B on Dominion Road, Section C on Grey Lynn, Section D on Ponsonb}*, Section E on Carlton, and Section F on Epsom. The rinks were a trifle heavy in the forenoon and J. lay was conse.queiitly tricky, but the games were consistently good and were keenly contested.

To-morrow the section-winners will meet on Carlton Green when the tournament will be advanced another stag".
