THE WEATHER.
CHANGEABLE CONDITIONS. 'Summer weather prevailed yesterday, with a light breeze from the westward, allowing large numbers of holidaymakers and excursionists to visit the various seaside resorts. Saturday's high wind dried up the roads quickly, enabling hundreds of motoristß to enjoy spins to the country districts and seaside, while both motorists and pedestrians were attracted to the Zoo in large numbers. Yesterday's total of bright sunshine was 8 hours 40 minutes, quite a distinct improvement on the previous day. For the 24 hours ending at f» o'clock this morning the rainfall was .16 inches. Several heavy rain squalls visited the city early tin's morning, but by ten o'clock the grey clouds disappeared, giving place to bright sunshine.
