MR. H. H. ASQUITH.
IDEAL SEAT FOR HIM. LONDON, December 26. Mr. IT. A. L. Fieher (Minister of Education in the Coalition Government) is expected to succeed Dr. W. A. Spooner he warden of Xew College, Oxford, leaving Mr. 11. 11. Asquith an ideal eeat in the House of Commons.— (A. and N.Z.) Mr. Fisher was elected by the Combined Universities. He was a tutor and fellow of New College before entering public affairs. Dr. Spooner has long been connected with New College, and millions .of "'Spoonerisms" have been invented by other people and attributed to him.
