SCARE IN AN HOTEL. CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Occupants of a number of rooms in tlie Terminus Hotel received a severe scare early this morning when they were awakened by volumes of smoke. Some made a hasty exist under the impression that the hotel was burning. A firo had broken out in a small shop below, but did not spread, though the contents of the shop were destroyed.
