BOY UNDER TRAM.
AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE. SYDNEY, this day. A 10-year-old boy was knocked down 'by a tram car at Paddington and was pinned beneath it. The car was raised by lifting jacks, but the boy's le« -was held fast, and he could not be extricated. Three doctors administered chloroform to the lad beneath the tram and amputated his leg. He is now in hospital hi jt <B__j__b condition.—(A. and N.Z.)
