ARNST-HANNAN RACE.
1 STAKES PAID OVER. (By Te!e;rapb.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. P. Hannan and R. Arnst paid over the stakes of £100 each yesterday for their sculling match on Saturday. Arnst fully anticipates entering his boat at 14st on the day of the race. Hannan will be down to 12st. With reference to the dispute regarding the Australian title, the committee, 'after reviewing the conditions of the Hannan-McDevitt race in Auckland, has decided that Hannan is the holder of the title, and the race next Saturday will be for the Australasian championship.
