THE BOISTEROUS WEATHER.
EFFECT ON DAIRYING MILK YIELDS FALLING. (From Our Own Correspondent.) MORRINSVILLE, Saturday. The boisterous weather conditions which have been prevailing for the past two or three weeks have had a detrimental effect upon dairying in the district. The strong biting winds, heavy cold showers, and the lack of sunshine have kept the cows back in their milk and have checked the growth of grass. Despite the fact that the cows are still coming in, the milk yields are by no means improving; in fact, one Morrinsville farmer stated this week that although he had more cows milking now than he had a fortnight ago his milk supplies were much less than before the cold, windy weather commenced.
