DEFEAT OF THE REBELS. AMBER'S GENERAL KILLED. DELHI; September 19._ Severe fighting has occurred in the Khost district, Afghanistan, between the troops of the Ameer and the rebel tribesmen. The hostilities have resulted in the defeat of the rebels, 1300 of whom have been-killed. The Royalist leader, General Abdul Humid, and a considerable number of his followers fell. A second engagement drove the rebels to the hills. A leading Afghan official from Kabul - lias arrived with an offer of generous terms to the insurrectionists on condition that they lay down their arms and submit.— ("Sun.") FRENCH IMPORT DUTIES.
