A few colours of gold were seen in the seaward slope, the rccr being up to Irt in width. Zeehan Consolidated.—The superintendents writing under date of September 15. reports as under: —" The drive on the No. 3 branch reef has been advanced sft for the week. The country is very hard, and has Ihe appearance of being the liaiigingwall ..r the No. 3 reef. The crosscut towards the Paroquet reefs has been advanced Oft fo:----the week. The face is now in solid country, similar to that in which the other gold-bearing reefs exist." Monn.-ttniari.—The manager reports: '-We have had two men in a surface drive where Thomas and Brownlee saw gold on a portion of the Cambria reef. It is now cleared up and ready for sinking upon."
