RACING AND BRIDGE.
ATTACKED BY ANGLICAN MINISTER. VICE-REGAL PARTY IN CONGREGATION. (Hy Telesrnph.-Kpooial to "Star.") WANGANUI, this day. Lord and Lady Jellicoc attended morning service at the Anglican Church here yesterday, and the minister, the Key. Hobbs, in a lengthy sermon, dwelt upon the evils of racing, bridge parties, cte. A number of people who usually do not frrquent church attended because their Excellencies were present, and they felt somewhat uncomfortable under the mini?ter'B cutting remarks. The viceregal jiurty attended the evening serve* j at St. Petcr'b, but in thia case the minister cut the Bcrvice short, and all the congregation left the church apparently well pleased.
