JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL.
„ WHANGAREI APPLICATION GRANTED. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star. , ") WELLINGTON, this day. The Minister of Education, the Hon. C. J. Parr, has decided to establish a junior high school in Whangarei. This decision was arrived at after representations had been made to him by the High School Board and committees concerned, also by the Auckland Education Board. I Mr. Caughley (Director of Education) leaves Wellington for Auckland to-day to confer with the board's officials at Auckland, and will afterwards go to Whangarei in connection with the matter and make the necessary arrangements. In connection with the application for a junior high school at Matamata, Mr. Caughley, Director of Education, will this week confer with the local education authorities regarding the prospects of such an institution there.
