WILLIAMSON'S ENTERTAINERS. So great was the success attending the J. C. Williamson Entertainers last *eek that the management decided to add another nig-ht to the season—the only extension possible—and to-night wll) be tne last appearance or this versatile company In Auckland. Mr. Bransby Williams win Kivo ror the llrst time in Auckland "Tne Penny Showman." which Is regarded in England and America as one or his greatest characterisations. He will also give the Chinese monologue "Orange Blossom," together with Uriah Heap. Macawber, ana famaliweed. The Hadje Kadir Arabs, Anna and Louis, Lucan and McShane, Landry and Julia, and the other members or a remarkably even company will give attractive numbers. FULLERS' OPERA HOUSE. Another powerful vaudeville programme will be submitted ror the approval or Opera House patrons by *,he Fuller management this evening. One of the most entertaining' of the new items will be provided by "Dinks" Patterson and Trixie Ireland, making their first appearance in a most amusing act. "Dinks/- 6Tt nigh, and as thin as a match, has the assistance of a most attractive and petite partner. Between them they provide a turn that is most enjoyable. Trixie has a sweet voice, which she uses to advantage in the song.-s "My Drum Major" ana "The songs My Mother Sang," and her costumes display her physical charms to advantage. Dinks rurnishes eccentric dances and quaint posturings, and gives an exhibition or batonswinging that would ensure him a fortune as drum-major of a military band. Another (lrst appearance of Interest is that of Jock Mills, the Scottish entertainer, who belongs to the ravoured few who are heard with, pleasure wherever tliey go. He ha 3 such an excellent and pleasing baritone voice, such a quiet, dry humour, such a clear, typical Scottish enunciation, and such a fund of stories that he "gets" his audience straight away. Best or all, his material has the hall mark of newness, and is absolutely devoid of vulgarity. Tho Fredo Boys are making a welcome reappearance in their acrobatic and violin playing novelty, after an absence or some considerable time. Walter Vernon, the clever Australian ventriloquist, has created a profound impression. He Is entirely different to any other ventriloquist, his easy style, line baritone voice, and genial personality, all combining to make him a general favourite. Changes or programme will be rendered by Armitag-e and Hine. Marcus and D'Arma, the Philrners, Piul Bransby, Fred Webber, and George Edwards and comU&ny. TOWN HALL ORGAN RECITAL. The usual organ recital was given In the Town Hall on Saturday evening, which was numerously attended. iMr. Barnett opened with a telling performance or Bach's "Toccata in D Minor," playing brilliantly the florid passages of the Adagio, and with racility the Prestissimo and Allegro, whilst the Fuga was clearly and evenly exposed. A flowing and expressive rendering was secured or Cesar Franck's "Pastorale," and a bright and pleasing delivery was obtained or Hollins' "Spring Song." Delicafely handled was the Liszt-Saint Saens' "St. Francis Preaching to the Birds," and suitable performances were given or peace's "Sonata In D Minor" and Mailing's "Royal Marche." Bizet's "Habanera' and "Sequittile' ,and del Riego's "Castilian Lament" were admirably sung by Miss Mina Caldow. The "introduction and Rondo Capriccioso," by Saint-Saens, and two old English tunes arranged by Quilter, were sklltully played by Miss Margaret Stoddart. Mr. Whittaker acted as accompanist. ST. ANDREW'S CONCERT. i The St. Andrew's Society second concert !of the season was held in the Town Hall 1 Concert Chamber on Saturday evening. T\ere was a large attendance. Miss M. Stansell sang "Jock o' Hazeldean" and I "Doon the Burn," while the soprano solos. I "Bonnie Prince Charlie" and "Auld Robin ! Gray" were contributed by Miss M. Wai'iti ] Pyfe. Mr. A. H. Ripley sang "Jean" and "Minnie," and Mr. Ernest Snell "Border Ballad" and "Kirkconnel Lea," and had to respond to repeated encores. Miss Margaret Stoddart played the violin solos "Lβ- : g-ende Wleniawski" and "Fantasia on Scot- , tish Melodies." The Highland dances Scan j Truibhals and Highland Fling were cleverly i executed by the popular young Auckland I dancer Miss Ruby Phillips. Mrs. A. H lltipley played the piano accompaniments.
