OBITUARY.
:.l T ] MR. HENRY CHBESEMAN. One of the oldest residents of Kamo, , near Whangarei, Mr. Henry Cheeseman. j died on Sunday morning at the age of , 82 years. He arrived in Auckland by . the ship Lancashire Witch, in 1865, when . 23 years of age, being then a married s man. Mr. Cheeeeman almost immediately went to Whangarei and made ! his home near Kamo. He followed . various avocations, being a farmer, con- . tractor, and veterinary lurgeon, as well as for some years road inspector for ; Whangarei County Council. A man of ; genial nature Mr. Cheeseman was known ■by the name of "'Happy?' by hie associates. J He was a lover of horses and acted as ; judge at agricultural and pastoral shows. He is survived by six sons and four ; daughters.
