TO ADVERTISE AUCKLAND.
THE "RECORD" AT WEMBLEY. " Auckland Municipal Record." the official monthly organ of the Auckland City Corporation, will be the only literature about the city to be circulated at the Empire Exhibition at Wembley. It "•ill be remembered that the Auckland business people decided against an advertising campaign, but the issue of the "Record" will do much to put Auckland on the Exhibition map. In the July issue (which will be available at the" Town Hall for free distribution on and after Tuesday next), the resourceful editor (Mr. Robert Hill) well maintains the high standard he set at the start, and has turned out something that is full of interest. Even Aucklanders themselves can always learn something from these well thought out little publications. As a rule local bodies arc not good publicity agents, and it requires someone to interpret them to the public. The July '-Record" deals among other things with the manner in which the affairs of the city are administered, something about the 1923-4 finances, street and other works, and a highly interesting article describes the development of the Auckland tramways from 1883 to 1024. As usual the "Record" is well illustrated with good photographs. The "Record should make an excellent impression at Wembley, and the City Council's enterprise in' distributing fifteen thousand copies is to be hichlv commended.
