SHUT IN A STRONGROOM.

A STRANGE MISADVENTURE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUNEDIN, this day. The announcement of the death on Wednesday of Miss Charlotte Harbour brings to light the story of a strange misadventure that befell her about three months ago. She was in the employ of C. F. Shaw, manufacturer of Shaw's utility houses. One afternoon Mr. Shaw, being out of town, Miss Harbour was alone in the office, and accidentally got locked in the strongroom. The workmen knocked off at a quarter to five, and Miss Harbour's custom was to remain till five o'clock. The misfortune occurred just before she was jioinjr away. Presumably she entered the strongroom to put something in it for safety, and while she was inside the door ewiinz to and closed of its own weight. There is no lock to the door, but as it has no handle inside Miss Hurbour could not open it, so she had to stay there for the night. If she called out ehe was not heard. Her relatives sent to the office about 9 p.m., wondering what had detained her, but the doors were closed, and the conclusion arrived at was that she had gone to spend the night with 6ome friends, as she had on previous occasions, and it came as a surprise to learm that slie had spent the night in the safe. The discovery was also a surprise to the opener of the strongroom door. Miss Harbour was apparently awakened from sleep by the opening of the door; she was taken home, and after two or three days returned to the office, but stayed only a day or two.
