John Perry appeared before two justices this morning on a charge of having i indecently assaulted a child of tender i years in Pollen Street. After evidence j had been given, Mr. Clendon (for j prisoner) said accused was a case for a i half-wav house. He was slightly under liquor influence at the time, but also ap- j peared to be simple-minded. He asked the Bench to reduce the charge to one of , common assault, but the Bench would not take the responsibility, and com- | mitted Perry for trial. l
