LATE RACING.
AUCKLAND RACING CLUB. THE AVIXTEU MEETING. The concluding day of the Auckland Racing Club's Winter Meeting, which was postponed from Inst Saturday, will be held at Ellerslie to-morrow. The acceptances are good, and all the events should provide interesting finishes. The first race will start about 11.15 a.m.. and there will be a frequent tram and train service. NOTES FROM ELLERSLIE. AvTiile schooling over hurdles this morning in the centre of the course at Ellerslie, Monopole fri; and his rider. J. Smyth, an apprentice in F. Loomb's stable at Te Awamutu. received injuries to his back, and was removed to the Auckland Hospital: Hyginas fell while working on the sand, but his rider, H. AA'iggins. was'uninjured. . Prince Abbey was scratched for the A'isitors' Handicap, to be run on the third day of the Auckland Racing Club's AA'intcr Meeting, at 11.40 a.m. to-day. iJoomerday (A. McDonald) was given a schooling task over four hurdles at Ellerslie this morning, and completed his task nicely.
