INFLAMMABLE CARGO.
NEW REGULATIONS. i ___ (Received 8.30 a.m.) • •MELBOURNE, this day. New regulations under the Navigation Act provide penalties for persons bringi ing or permitting to be brought any fire i or naked flame into ships in which is ' inflammable cargo. Persons engaged in j or on ships loading or discharging cargo are forbidden to possess wax vestas, or where there is inflammable cargo any matches or material whatever for producing ignition, and, except in special cases, discharging or stowage of explosives or inflammable liquids is to be carried out between sunrise and sunset only.—(A. and N.Z.
