SCOUTS' FAREWELL FUNCTION
A farewell social nnd dance to Scout \V. K. B. DnnnitiKham, of the Grey Lynn Senior Troop, was held in St. Sepulchre's Hall last evening. Scout Dunningham, accompanied by Scoutmaster Kn.v, of the Cromwell Troop, leaves for Wellington shortly to join the other New Zealand representatives who are to attend the Imperial Jamboree in London in August. The scouts will also attend an international meeting in Denmark later in the year.
In presenting Scout Dunnlngham wlth.n camera, the Scout Commissioner for the Auckland Province (Mr. Grigsby) pointed out that this wns the greatest event in the history of the troop. Scout Dunningham was to represent not only his troop, hut also the Auckland Province and the Dominion. The troop committee also presented their representative with a wristlet
watch. The evening was passed with musical items and dancing, excellent music being supplied by the troop orchestra under the leadership of the scoutmaster (Mr. L. C. Kasmussen).
