STOCK SALES.

AUCKLAND. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—

We held sales during the past week at Westfleld,. Warkworth, Clevedon and Pukekohe, all classes of cattle and sheep selling at late quotations. We quote:—Best dairy cows and heifers, £0 to £14 10/; others, £6 to £8 15/; aged cows and inferior heifers, £2 10/ to £5 15/; bulls, £1 5/ to £5 10/, according to weight; empty cows, £1 to £2 10/; yearling to 18-nionfhs' steers, £1 10/ to £2 7/6; weaner calves, best £1 to £1 10/; others 10/ to 10/; two to 2}-year-steers, £2 10/ to £3 12/6; three to 3}-year steers, £3 15/ to £4 17/6; four to five-year steers, £5 to £G 7/6.

During the week we held sales at Westfield, ,Turua. Wellsford, Kumeu, Helensvllle, and two clearing sales. There were average yardings at each yard, arid a good demand at ruling prices. Best dairy cows at clearing sales, £12 to £16; good cows, £9 to £11; others, £5 to £8 10/; aged and inferior, £1 10/ upwards. Grown steers in forward condition, £6 to £7 5/; three and ahalf to four and a-half-year-old steers, £4 10/ to £5 17/6; two ana a-half to three' and* a-half-year-old eteers, £3 5/ to £4 10/; 18----month to two and a-half-year-old steers, £2 5/ to £3 5/; yearling steers, £1 10/ to £2 2/; 18-month to two-year-old.
