MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE.

The weekly meeting of the management committee was held last evening, Mr. W. J. Hammill presiding.

Amusement. Tax.—Following discussion upon a letter received from the Sports Protection League dealing with the Government tax on sport it was decided to cooperate with the League and endeavour to have the tax lifted.

Transfers.—Transfers were granted to T. Vercoe from the Athletic Club. Hamilton, to the New Lynn Club, and to *'. Brake from Athletics to Devouport. A Reduced Rate.—After hearing "a deputation from the New Zealand Uugby League on the question of charges for Carlaw Park when the Englishmen play in Auckland it was decided to grant the use of the ground at a special rate.
