j -, New Waiotahi.—The manager reports I that the drive on the reef below the level has been advanced 4ft for the week. The reef Is somewhat smaller in the face. From . the quartz broken out about lib of picked . stone was selected. A break has been met with which slightly displaced the reef. It was at this point the picked stone was obtained. The drive hillward was advanced 4ft, but no gold was seen in the quartz taken down. Ohinorauri. —The manager reports thnt during the early part of the week the men were engaged clearing away a slip that occurred in the water race, but driving has i been resumed in the face of the south drive ion the Camoola reef. The drive Is now i out 709 ft from the main crosscut, and the ' hangingwall of the reef is exposed. A little I country rock is now being carried on the ' hangingwall side of the drive in order to . ing to hand from the hansingwall of the reef has been showing small values.
