PARISH MEETINGS.
ST. AIDAN'S, REMCERA.
The annual meeting of parishioners was held In tbe Parish Hall last nigbt, when there was an attendance of over CO. The , vicar Rev. John Wilkinson. 8.A., was in the chair. The vestry's report and balance sheet disclosed a very healthy state of affairs. The general offertories produced a sum of £346 16/4, social offertories for missions, etc., £223 6/6: sustentntion fund, £318 12/4; ladies' guild. £300; Bection fund, £8.3 6/8, and parish ball account, £64 14/11.
A sum of £300 has been paid of? the vicarage debt, and £80 off. the new section debt. The church has been thoroughly painted at a cost of under £70, and the vicarage renovated ■ inside at a cost of a little over £40. '
Special mention was made of the ladies' guild, who. by its .splendid work, enabled a sum of £300 to be paid off the vlcarase debt, and of the choir under the able leadership of Mr. Morton.
The vicar announced that ho hail appolntod Mr. A. V. Barcher a vlyar's warden. Mr. Wilfred Skrsg was re-elected people's warden. The following vestry was elected : Messrs. Barker, Hooper, Townsboroufib, Lock, Reid, Shannon, Taylor, and Wyntt. Mr. George Brownlee was re-electert auditor. The vicar announced that be had received a promise of £20 towards reduction of the section debt, and a lady parishioner had offered £5 if flve others gave a similar amount.
