LEAGUE FOOTBALL.

TO-MORROW'S GAMES. The Auckland Rugby Leagues competitions will be continued to-morrow at Carlaw Park, at Devonport. and on the Domain. Most interest will centre in the contest between City and Marist ■Brothers at Carlaw- Park, but on their I showings of Saturday last the prospects of City are brightest. On No. 2 ground Newton and Ponsonby will try conclusions, aud witli a strengthening up of the backs. Newton j should make a better showing than they did against City. At the Domain Richmond and Mangere will oppose each other, and this should be a hard game. The good stand made by Richmond against Athletics suggests a win for them. The North Shore thirteen will make their first appearance on their own ground when they meet the Ellerslie ■ team. The latter played a surprisingly solid game against Marist Brothers on Saturday, and unless the seasiders can field a good side it is on the cards that Ellerslie will make the homo team play ; every minute of the two spells. A j repetition of the form displayed on Saturday last may give Ellerslie a victory. I The junior competitions, which had to be postponed last week, will be set in full swing to-morrow at the various ] grounds. I The teams for the various matches 'are:— MARIST OLT> BOYS.
