TYPOGRAPHICAL CONFERENCE.

DOMINION AWARD WANTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DU-JEDDe, Mpnday. It was resolved by the Typographical Conference to-day that an endeaveur be made tp secure a Dominion agreement with the employers in cennccticn with the negotiations that will be necessary when the present award expires. The opinion was unanimously expressed that, owing to the technical nature of the industry the Court was incompetent -to make a satisfactory award. The employers are to be approached in August. After a long discussion it was resolved "That the association favours the formation of an advisory council, composed of two typographers, two linetype operators and four others appointed by the related printing trades, such council to be empowered to make recommendations for common action in national, "questions affecting the industry, its findings to be submitted to the union." .
