THE CALIFORNIAN OUTBREAK. FRUITGROWERS LOSE HEAVILY (P>p<-Pirpd 1..T0 p.m.) WASHINGTON, April 20. - The. Government is appropriating: half a million sterling to help California to fight the foot and mouth disease. Californian fruitgrowers are threatened with enormous losses owing to rail and steamer transport being stopped as a result of tlie cattle disease regulations. ("Sun" Cable.)
