PASSENGER TRAFFIC NORMAL.
With the possibility of a strike occurring, inquiries were made at the Railway Department this morning to ••certain whether the usual Easter long distance passenger traffic had been interfered with. Although no figures were available, the stationmaster, Mr. Harding, said that the number travelling this Easter was well up to previous years, »nd every train, both arriving at and leaving Auckland, had the aecommodadation fully taxed. In several instances trains had to be delayed while extra •fringes were put on.
