WHOSE TOMB?
THE LUXOR QUARREL. CAIRO, March 13. It is understood that a settlement of the dispute concerning Tut-ankh-amen's tomb at Luxor had been practically reached through Professor Brcasted's mediation, when counsel for the executors of the late Ear! of Carnarvon stated at Monday's hearing of the case before the Mixed Courts that the Egyptian Government had forced an entry into the tomb like bandits. This so enraged the Egyptian Government that it decided not to negotiate further, but to assume complete control of the tomb, and thus eliminate all the Carnarvon influence. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
