CADET R. K. PEKKINS. FIXE SCHOLASTIC RECORD. (By Telegraph.—rress Association). TREXTHA-I. this clay. The winner of the cadet championship at the Trentham rifle championship meeting. Cadet R. H. Perkins, is a promising marksman. He was here last, _year as a cadet, and has already joined up with the Akarana Rifle Club in Auckland. Last year he won the Northern Command championship, competing- against territorials. Apart from shooting he has a remarkable scholastic record. .Some years ago he passed the matriculation examination when only eleven years of age. Cadet Perkins left the Auckland Grammar School last year, and at present is attending the University College. Cadet Perkins won the cadet championship (for the highest aggregate! in two matches with a score of 17. points; Corporal C. Brett (Hamilton) being second with 170 and Cadet D. E. Robertson (Gore), 169, third.
